222. From Survival to Aliveness with Sarah Entrup

What if reconnecting with your desires begins with telling yourself the truth? This week, we welcome spiritual teacher and embodiment practitioner Sarah Entrup for a candid conversation about midlife transformation, intimacy, and coming home to the body.

Sarah shares her journey from a deeply sensitive, intuitive childhood to a lifelong spiritual path, and how the unraveling of her marriage in her 40s became an initiation into deeper authenticity. Together, we explore what becomes possible when women stop overriding their feelings and begin listening to the wisdom within.

We talk about the ways women learn to push through, please others, and disconnect from their own needs. Sarah offers her perspective on moving out of those familiar patterns through awareness, movement, breath, and supportive relationships. She also shares a powerful framework for reconnecting with what we want: truth to pleasure to desire.

In this episode, we explore:

  • Why midlife can feel like everything is falling apart—and how that unraveling can reveal a deeper truth.
  • Recognizing fight, flight, freeze, and fawn patterns in everyday life.
  • The disconnect between what we say, what we show, and what we actually feel.
  • Making room for anger, grief, heartbreak, and the emotions we’ve learned to suppress.
  • Balancing structured practices with intuitive movement and flow.
  • Creating space within motherhood and relationships to hear our own needs.
  • Rediscovering pleasure through simple moments of feeling good in the body.
  • How honoring what’s true can help us reconnect with desire, purpose, and aliveness.
  • The connection between women’s personal awakening and broader cultural change.

This conversation is an invitation to slow down, feel what’s here, and consider what you might want when you have room to listen. As Sarah reminds us, pleasure doesn’t have to begin with something extraordinary—it can begin with noticing what feels nourishing, comforting, or alive.
